Workshop: Flow – a new way to estimate work

About the workshop:We all have been there – working on an interesting solution so extremely focussed that we forgot to eat, sleep and finally finished after the entire day had passed. That is the state of Flow. It is an area of psychological sciences and is heavily used by the gaming industry to make people happier when playing their games. We can also help ourselves and our teams to have a higher chance to get into the state of Flow at work.
I’ll present parts of the current understanding of Flow, possibly recreate Flow for participants and present a new technique to estimate without sizing.
We call this way “Flow Estimates”.

About the speaker: Markus Wissekal, born and raised in Vienna, is what you would call an agile Swiss Army knife. Accredited Kanban Trainer, Scrum Professional, Lego Serious Play Facilitator, Systemic Business Coach, Design Thinker, MSc. in Medical Computer Science and founder of a Swiss consultancy are just a few lines on Markus’ CV.
